Here is the second part of the concert on 12 Ocktober. It starts with the short Medley, which consists of Black And Tan Fantasy, Creole Love Call and The Mooche. In the absence of Ray Nance, who had left the band in Amman, Jordania, Cat Anderson is playing a main role.

The next number is Guitar Amor which was origanally concieved around Ray Nance’s violin, but Harry Carney’s contribution is beautiful.

Tutti For Cootie is played next followed by C-Jam Blues aka Duke’s Place sung by Ernie Shepard. The Theme marks the end of the concert.

Also the second part is available in the Goodies Room.

The day after the concert Ellington, the orchestra and the entourage leave Bombay to go to Calcutta, where they stayed until the 19th October.

Author: Anders Asplund with contribution from Ulf Lundin.
