It has just become available and has music from December 22, 1932 to December 4, 1933.

Almost everything on the new Ellington In Order release are ARC session available also in the Mosaic box The Complete 1932-1940 Brunswick/Columbia/Master Recordings. Only the last two -September 26 and December 4 1933 – are RCA-Victor session and both can be found in The Ellington Centenial box as well.

The big surprise in the new release is the inclusion of English Columbia‘s recording sessions in New York on February 15 and 16, 1933. They were hidden in the archives until the appeared on French CBS LP The Complete Duke Ellington vol. 5 1932-1933 in 1974.

Ian Bradley has put together a discography also for the new issue of Ellington In Order and it is available at  his blog https://ellingtonlive.blogspot.com/.

I will listen to Volume 5 on Spotify but once Volume 6 is out, I will buy 4, 5 och 6 as separate digital files for my Roon.
